PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image recording apparatus unnecessary for using a large-scale device or tube in order to supply ink to the ink tank on a carrier and enabling the miniaturization and wt. reduction of the ink tank on the carrier. SOLUTION: An ink tank 14 mounted on a carrier 12 is partitioned into four chambers and each of these chambers is packed with an ink absorbing member such as sponge or the like. An ink supply part 30 having ink supply tanks 33a-33d and ink supply wheels 32a-32d supported within these ink tanks in a freely revolvable manner is arranged so as to be set under the carrier 12 when the carrier 12 is moved to a predetermined position. When the carrier 12 is moved to the position above the ink supply part 30, the ink injection port comprising the ink absorbing member formed in the rear surface of the carrier 12 comes into contact with the ink supply wheels 32a-32d to supply ink to the ink absorbing member in the ink tank 14 through the ink injection port. |
