PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous wall excavator and an excavating method capable of continuously excavating a corner part without pulling up an underground cutter post and an excavating tool even in the corner part. SOLUTION: A cutter post 20 to which an endless chain type excavating tool 7 is attached is arranged in a vertical frame 3 so as to be liftable, the vertical frame 3 is horizontally movably arranged in a guide frame 10 having horizontal directional guide rails 11a, 12a arranged on one side surface of a base machine 1, and a groove is excavated by horizontally moving the vertical frame 3 while driving the excavating tool 7. In this case, the guide frame 10 is constituted around a perpendicular so as to be bendable to the base machine side to excavate a curved groove.
