PURPOSE: A user authentication service method is provided to reduce overall system load by performing a registration procedure to an authentication parameter when a mobile terminal at an idle state. CONSTITUTION: A user authentication service method comprises a user authentication service procedure which consists of an authentication registration procedure(S1-S5) and an authentication confirmation procedure(S6-S11). The authentication registration procedure(S1-S5) and the authentication confirmation procedure(S6-S11) are performed separately from each other. The authentication registration procedure(S1-S5) includes setting a desired authentication parameter(S1), sending an authentication registration message to an exchange(4)(S2), registering an authentication parameter at an authentication center(6)(S3), informing the exchange registration of the authentication parameter(S4), and sending an authentication registration confirming message to a mobile terminal(S5). |
