PURPOSE: A method for searching an idle channel is provided to be capable of quickly searching a usable idle channel as to an idle channel request by managing channels for information transfer in a group format. CONSTITUTION: A method is described, which is to search an idle channel in a telecommunication system. A plurality of channels are classified into idle state, busy state and block state groups based on a state of a corresponding channel(S1-S4). In case usage of an idle channel is requested from a system, one of channel identifications of the idle state group is selected and the selected channel identification is reported to the system. A corresponding channel identification is stored in the busy state group(S5). In case a use release of a busy channel is requested, a channel identification of a use-released busy channel is deleted from the busy state group. The channel identification is stored in the idle state group(S6). |
