PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint in which a roller mechanism A is restrained from inclining in the cross section perpendicular to the axial line of the coupling, resulting from an inwardly oriented component force f. SOLUTION: In an inclination restraint means, a peripheral surface 34a of a roller 34 and a roller guide face 14 are made angular contact at two points p, g, and additionally a contact angleα1 of the angular contact point q on a root end side of a leg shaft is made larger than a contact angleα2 of the angular contact p on a tip end side of the leg shaft (α1>α2). A posture of the roller mechanism A against the roller guide face 14 becomes stable, since the peripheral surface 34a of the roller 34 and the roller guide face 14 are made angular contact at two point p, q. Furthermore, the inwardly oriented component force f can be burdened to a larger extent by the angular contact point q on the root end side of the leg shaft, because the contact angleα1 is set larger than the contact angleα2.
