PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system and information recording medium that can make design informations usable by a plurality of users by managing the design information unitarily. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a fetching part 40 which fetches design information made by an individual design support system 20, a of design information management part 50 which stores design information and holds records, a transformation part 60 which transforms the data form of design information stored, into joint data form and makes them joint information, and a shared information management part 70 which store and history-manages shared information, and in the case where the information is an editing information, detects the effecting extent which judging the effect on the other shared information, an open information management part 80 which manages open information and puts an information item such as editing information item in the shared information, an information output part 90 making the shared information usable by plural individual support systems 20 by transforming the shared information into designated data form and outputting them, and manages the design information effectively and unitarily.
