PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color film with simpler and relatively low-cost color filter arrays each having a sufficient area of a water permeable material in its structure so that the transfer of processing solutions and processing chemicals are not blocked and an aqueous solution can transfer through the color filter arrays if necessary. SOLUTION: The color film includes a base layer, at least one photosensitive emulsion layer and a layer formed with color filter arrays disposed at random. The color filter array layer is coated from an aqueous medium and includes water immiscible colored filter elements that are fluids at temperatures used in coating and in drying.
