PURPOSE:To provide an electronic component feeder able to recover a used carrier tape having a tape shape as it is while solving the problems such as cost up due to providing a mechanism cutting and recovering a used carrier tape in relation to the electronic component feeder to be used accompanying an electronic component automatic mounter which mounts the chip type electronic component on a printed board. CONSTITUTION:Cost down and productivity improvement are realized by eliminating a complex mechanism for cutting and recovering of a carrier 21 as well as promoting a clean device and recycling of the carrier 21 by performing the formation of taking up and recovering the carrier 21 carried out by a feed roller and guided by a guide groove 6 by means of a reel 5 for recovery turnably mounted on a take-up frame 7 in the shape as it is.
