This invention relates to manufacturing polysilamethylrenosilane polymer of formula (III) which is used as a primer of silicon carbide. This polymer is made by dechlorinating 2,4,6-trisilaneheptane of (II) or 2,4,6-trisilaneheptane and dimethylchlorosilane or trichlorosilane in toluene or toluene/tetrahydrofurane with sodium at 100-150 deg.C.
