PURPOSE: A multimedia advertising system and method using object interaction through networks is provided to maximize the effectiveness of advertisement by applying a processing method for independent objects contained in the video information, text information and voice information of multimedia data to advertisement. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia advertising system using object interaction through a network is comprised of an advertisement manufacturer system(100), an advertising system(300), and a user computer(400). The advertisement manufacturer system(100) manufactures multimedia advertisements. The advertising system(300) receives multimedia advertisement information from the advertisement manufacturer system(100) through a telecommunication network(200) or an auxiliary memory device(250), adds contents to the received multimedia advertisement information using an MPEG-4(Motion Picture Experts Group-4) technique, and provides them to the user computer(400). The user computer(400) decodes and regenerates encoded multimedia advertisement information transferred from the advertisement manufacturer system(100) or the advertising system(300).
