PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for removing tape carrier package, by which the tape carrier package is pressed against a liquid crystal display panel can be stripped in a uniform operation. SOLUTION: This apparatus for stripping the tape carrier package, by which the tape carrier package 7 pressed against the liquid crystal display panel 6 is stripped, comprises a lower part heater 3, an upper part heater unit 4 that includes an upper part heater 47 opposed to and arranged above the lower part heater 3, a stripping lever 48, the upper part heater 47, and a horizontal part 482 to be rotated/positioned under the upper part heater 47, and driving members 2, 21, 41 for lowering the upper part heater unit 4 toward the lower part heater 3 and raising it.
