PURPOSE: An intake and exhaust system for a vessel engine is provided to improve the output of the engine by increasing amount of supercharged air by making the flow of air smooth and absorb pollutant by falling down the temperature of the exhaust gas by flowing the seawater into a riser while reducing the exhaust noise. CONSTITUTION: An intake and exhaust system for a vessel engine(10) comprises an intake manifold(12) which outer air is supplied to a combustion chamber of the engine through, an exhaust manifold(14) which exhaust gas burnt in the combustion chamber is discharged through, a turbocharger(16) supercharging the intake manifold with some of exhaust gas using exhaust gas of exhaust manifold, and an intercooler(20) installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold to cool the air, wherein the exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold is flowed into the turbocharger through the medium of a neck pipe(18) and diverged to the opposite direction at an outlet of the turbocharger, and some of exhaust gas is supercharged to the intake manifold and the other exhaust gas is flowed out after passing the riser.
