PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To crate a gradation correction curve used for gradation correction processing to an image output system for creating a press plate, carrying out printing, and inhibiting tone jump. SOLUTION: In the image output system that outputs a press plate dot image onto the press plate by carrying out scanning exposure based on input dot image data, and outputs a printing dot image onto a form by ink based on the press plate dot image, a conversion model obtained by combining a first conversion model with a second one is used to create the gradation characteristic curve for indicating the relationship between the dot area rate of a printing image dot and the dot area rate of an input dot, and to create the gradation correction curve based on the gradation characteristic curve. In this case, the first conversion model simulates the conversion from the dot area rate of the input dot for composing an image indicated by the input image data to that of the press plate image dot for composing the press plate image dot, and the second conversion model simulates the conversion from the dot area rate of the press image dot to the dot area rate of the print image dot for composing the print dot image. |
