EASILY WATER-SOLUBLE CELLULOSE ETHER AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily water-soluble cellulose ether which is surface-treated with glyoxal-added starch excellent in safety in view of the human body and safety and hygiene compared with glyoxal, and also to provide a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The production method for the easily water-soluble cellulose ether comprises surface-treating powdery water-soluble cellulose ether with glyoxal-added starch (including glyoxal-added dextrin). The obtained cellulose ether disperses easily in water and dissolves therein by adding trace of alkali. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
