PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer controller in which color can be converted so that color matching can be performed simply and as accurately as possible even when ink properties have changed with the passage of time, and a method and a program for controlling printing. SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: acquiring first image data, acquiring standard color data to specify standard output color in the printer, acquiring color data after passage of time to specify output color in the printer after the passage of predetermined time from the start of ink settling in an ink cartridge, acquiring the passage of time from the start of ink settling in the ink cartridge to the present, comparing the standard color data with the color data after passage of time, acquiring second image data for performing the output corresponding to the color shown by the first image data in the present state of ink settling, thereby converting the acquired first image data to the second image data, and executing printing on the basis of the second image data after conversion.
