OPERATING METHOD FOR ROTARY REPRODUCING HEAT EXCHANGER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the operating method for a rotary reproducing heat exchanger capable of preventing the excessive contact of a rotary sliding unit even when a furnace temperature is fluctuated largely. SOLUTION: The rotary reproducing heat exchanger 10 recovering waste heat from the waste gas of a furnace such as a steel piece heating furnace, a steel piece heat treatment furnace, a steel block soaking pit or the like is provided at the inlet side of the waste gas with a diluting damper 15 for returning one part of low-temperature waste gas discharged out of the rotary reproducing heat exchanger 10. The diluting damper 18 is opened upon the fluctuation of a furnace temperature to prevent the sudden change of a waste gas temperature at the inlet side of the waste gas. An outdoor air suction damper 20 provided at the outlet side of the waste gas can be employed in parallel. The waste gas temperature at the inlet side of the waste gas is preferable to be restrained at a value lower than 150 deg.C/Hr in such a manner.
