<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a plurality of print jobs can be received and processed efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: When data is received from a host 3 (step 401) and a decision is made that it is a job from a centronics interface, the data is developed to an HDD 15 during job (step 403). Subsequently, a decision is made whether the job has ended (step 404) and if it has not ended yet, the control returns back to step 403 where image development is continued. If it has ended, a decision is made whether variation of a specific signal in the end phase of EPP mode was detected or not (step 405) and if it was not detected, the control returns back to step 402 where processing is continued. If it was detected, data developed until then is printed (step 406).
