<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which which can check the validity of input character serially when a password is not memorized correctly and where the risk of password leakage is low. <P>SOLUTION: A computer is made to function as; a means 103 to receive input of a user ID; a means 102 for requesting an encrypted password corresponding to serially collating screen configuration information, check logic, and a user ID to an external device; a means 102 for receiving requested information from the external device; a means 105 for displaying a serially collating screen; a means 103 for receiving input of the Nth character; a means 112 for decrypting the Nth character of an encrypted password; a means 113 for comparing an inputted character with a decrypted character and collating whether both characters are the same; a means 101 for investigating whether a numeric value N has reached a password character number P when both characters are the same; and a means 101 to perform login normal completion processing when the password character number P has been reached, wherein N and P are natural numbers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
