<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a tactile sensor, composed of a measurement sensor including an ultrasonic transducer for contact with a living soft tissue in vivo and its control part, a tactile sensor for detecting and measuring hardness of gingiva, and the like, all need sensors of specific morphology as a contact, develop into expensive equipments for measuring a plurality of issues, and are difficult of operation, and to provide an ultrasonic scaler for dentistry equipped with measurement function capable of using an usual ultrasonic scaler for not only therapy but diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: This scaler is composed of an ultrasonic scaler handpiece for dentistry as a sensor for therapy and diagnosis, and a drive circuit equipped with a resonance frequency measurement function of the scaler, and the hardness/softness of a measured subject is measured by contacting with a chip of the tip of the handpiece to the measured subject and changing the operation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
