PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate distortion correction in a short time with the small number of parameters by using a photographing condition at the time of photographing. SOLUTION: Distorted image data are read from an image memory 12 (step 11), and subsequently, data of a zoom position in photographing and data of photographing distance are read (steps 12, 13). Then, distortion aberration data corresponding to the zoom position in photographing and the photographing distance are read from among the distorted aberration data stored in a ROM 11 (step 14), the distorted image data previously read are corrected (step 15), the distortion-corrected image is compressed by an image compression/decompression circuit 13 (step 16), and the compressed image is stored in a memory card 14 (step 17).
