PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electro-optical device and an electro-optical device capable of suppressing cross talk. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the electro-optical device comprises a process of forming a plurality of pixel electrodes 27, a process of forming barrier ribs for commonly zoning the plurality of pixel electrodes 27, a process of forming a functional layer containing an organic conductive layer 61 with a glycol based solvent added in an area surrounded by the barrier ribs, and a process of irradiating light R on the organic conductive layer 61.
