PURPOSE:To reproduce a color not reproduced by mixture of four basic color materials by obtaining a blending ratio of the four basic color materials and a predetermined specific color material other than the four basic color materials based on color data of a picture element when the picture is incapable of reproducing by the four basic color materials and using the color materials in response to the blending ratio. CONSTITUTION:A color incapable of reproducing by the four basic color materials such as yellow(Y), magenta(M), cyan(C) and black(K) is reproduced in advance by blending the four basic color materials and a specific color material, the cross reference between the blending ratio and the color incapable of reproducing by the four basic color materials is obtained in advance as a color table and it is stored in a storage device 3b. Thus, the blending ratio of a specific color material and the four basic color materials to print out a picture element having a color unable to be reproduced by the four basic color materials only is obtained based on the relation of the color table representing the cross reference between the blending ratio and the color unable to be reproduced by the four basic color materials. |
