PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meta retrieval system by which even a user inexperienced in how to use a retrieval engine can simply retrieve a required web page. SOLUTION: The meta retrieval system for performing meta retrieval for allowing a plurality of retrieval engines 2 to simultaneously execute web page retrieval selects a specific retrieval engine 2 from the plurality of retrieval engines 2 on the basis of a target word included in an input expression of a user U and related to the specific retrieval engine 2 out of the plurality of retrieval engines 2 and allows the selected specific retrieval engine 2 to retrieve web pages having a keyword included in the input expression of the user U.
