PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating machine capable of properly protecting a joint portion of an arm even when the operation is performed with a heavy working device attached to a tip of the arm. SOLUTION: This operating machine 1 performing the work while moving in a working area, comprises a sensor arm 4 including joint portions 41-43 and provided with a mine detection sensor 46, and a locking device 6 for locking the sensor arm 4 in a folded state until moving to the next working area, after the termination of the work of the prescribed working area of the working areas by the mine detection sensor 46. The locking device 6 releases the locking of the sensor arm 4 after moving to the next working area in the prescribed working area. The sensor arm 4 has a supporting portion 47 for supporting the mine detecting sensor 46, and a gripping portion 49 connecting the joint portion 43 and the supporting portion 47, and gripped by the locking device 6.
