PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet powder whose mechanical strength is large and which can produce a magnet of superior magnetic characteristics, as well as a bonded magnet. SOLUTION: This magnet powder is comprised of at least a rare-earth element and a transition metal and is provided with a plurality of projecting lines or grooves on at least a part of its surface. If the average particle size of the magnet powder is set as a μm, the length of the projecting line or groove is preferably 1/40 μm or larger. The projecting lines or grooves are arranged juxtaposed, and their average pitch is preferably 0.5 to 100 μm. |
