PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing recording paper from being wrinkled while surely improving fixing property at the end even when it is a small-diameter heating roller. SOLUTION: The fixing device has a first pad 3 and a second pad 4 pressing an endless belt toward the heating roller. In the free states of the first pad 3 and the second pad 4, the projecting amount (b) of the end 31 of the first pad 3 from the second pad 4 is larger than the projecting amount (a) of the center part 30 of the first pad 3 from the second pad 4.
