PURPOSE:To disperse carbon fiber in an excellent state in a carbon-containing refractory by using a plastic clay of graphite/carbon fiber composite material prepared according to a specific method as a graphite raw material for the carbon-containing refractory. CONSTITUTION:In a carbon-containing refractory containing graphite blended therein, a plastic clay of graphite/carbon filter composite material containing carbon fiber, having 3-30mum average diameter and 0.1-100mm length in an amount of 1-80 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. graphite matrix therein and randomly dispersed in the graphite matrix is used as a graphite raw material. |
