APPARATUS FOR BOTH SCREEN DISPLAY AND DETECTION OF POSITION MARKER WITH REFERENCE TO SCREEN

PURPOSE: To provide a device used for screen display and the detection of a position marker with respect to a screen in common. CONSTITUTION: The device is associated with the display of picture depending on screen projection controlled by a computer system and data input to a data processing system by the moving of the position marker to the screen 50. A display projecting the picture on the screen includes an infrared surface detector 60 arranged behind an objective lens 40 through a mirror 24 separating a visible light beams and infrared. Further, this display includes a directional infrared radiator 70, an observer traces the position marker on the screen generated by this radiator 70, and this position marker is localized by a visible pointer superposed on the picture.
