<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-pressure fuel pump control device of an internal combustion engine provided with an engine-driven high-pressure fuel pump capable of force-feeding an adjusted quantity of fuel by driving a fuel intake valve to close at a predetermined timing in a fuel discharging stroke, wherein the maximum quantity of fuel is surely force-fed from the fuel discharging stroke just after the start of the internal combustion engine while avoiding heat generation by energization of a solenoid so that fuel pressure in a pressure accumulation chamber is increased quickly to thereby prevent deterioration of combustion state and exhaust gas at the start of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: The high-pressure fuel pump control device includes a starting time control means 606 which continuously energizes the solenoid 12 for controlling the fuel intake valve over a period from the beginning of the engine start until cylinder discrimination is completed and it becomes possible to execute a valve-close timing control of the fuel intake valve based on the rotational position of the internal combustion engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
