Method for determination of temperature stratification of atmosphere includes measurement of coefficient of anisotropy (К) of temperature heterogeneities of atmosphere and on basis of measured coefficient of anisotropy and taken beforehand dependence of coefficient of anisotropy (К) on type pf temperature stratification of atmosphere determination of type of temperature stratification of atmosphere. Coefficient of anisotropy is measured for coefficient of ambipolar diffusion of meteor ionized trace Din vertical plane, and after that by theoretical dependence of coefficient of anisotropy Don coefficient of anisotropy of temperature of atmosphere calculated on basis of formula(where &rgr;– density of atmosphere, k – constant coefficient) one determines anisotropy of temperature of atmosphere.
