PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered tungsten carbide compact which has excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, toughness and strength, consists of uniformly fine WC crystal grains and have a small amount of metallic impurities. SOLUTION: The super-hard sintered compact, which contains WC and W2C and contains at least either of carbide of Cr and carbide of V, satisfies the following conditions (1) to (5): (1) when the diffraction intensity of the WC crystal (100) face by an X-ray diffraction grating method is defined as IWC (100) and the diffraction intensity of the WC crystal (101) face as IWC (101), IWC (100)/IWC (101) is >=0.65 0.9; (2) the half-value width of the diffraction peak of the WC crystal (100) face and the WC crystal (101) face is 0.4 to 0.6; (3) the average grain size of WC is <=1.5 mm; (4) the Vickers hardness is >=25 GPa; and (5) the total of metal contents is <=200 ppm. |
