PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of surely preventing intrusion of dust into an operation chamber, by always maintaining the inside of the operation chamber under high pressure to an external part, without impairing a comfortable air-conditioning feeling. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 has a controller 60 for controlling an air blowing quantity of an air blower 11 so that the inside of the operation chamber 2 becomes higher pressure than the external part when selecting a pressurizing mode of pressurizing the inside of the operation chamber 2, and is constituted so that a branch duct opening-closing damper device 68 is arranged for distributing blowing air from the air blower 11 to occupant pointing blowout ports 5, 6 and 7 and a defrosting blowout port 8 being an occupant unpointed blowout port, and the controller 60 controls the branch duct opening-closing damper device 68 so as to blow off residual blowing air from the defrosting blowout port 8 by setting the air volume of blowing-off air blown off from the occupant pointing blowout ports 5, 6 and 7 to the air volume of a degree that an occupant feels a comfortable heating-cooling feeling in a state of becoming small in a difference between the temperature in the operation chamber 2 and the preset temperature.
