<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine by which game characteristic is improved and a player is thrilled and excited continuously for a long period of time due to the appearance of a ready-to-win mode by relating variation display on a normal pattern display device with variable display on a variable display device with each other. <P>SOLUTION: When a display mode on the variable display device 310 becomes that disadvantageous to the player, on condition that a prescribed previous notice pattern is displayed on the normal pattern display device 140, a prescribed concealed pattern for concealing one of the pieces of identification information forming a disadvantageous display mode on the variable display device 310 is made to appear. Thereafter, the identification information is varied again on the variable display device 310 in connection with the concealed pattern. In this case, display control for making the masking pattern which partially has a transparent part appear is carried out.
