The radiation detector component (10) has a light detecting unit (27) operationally connected with a radiation detector unit (15), which is provided in an inner side of a radiation detector housing (20). A set of continuously running wave shaped springs (50) is provided along the outside periphery of the radiation detector unit radially between the radiation detector housing and the radiation detector unit. The radiation detector unit has a scintillator detector with a diagonal circular cross section (120). The springs comprise a molded sheet metal.
