<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily and surely separate musical signs that contact with or are close to each other, easier than conventionally. <P>SOLUTION: A trimmed rectangle (rcTrim), which is a rectangle whose vertex is one of the four vertexes of a label rectangle (rcLabel) and which is a rectangle whose size is equivalent to that of a prescribed musical sign (e.g. temporary symbols) which serves as a recognition target, is trimmed away from the label rectangle (rcLabel). Then, the trimmed rectangle (rcTrim) is subjected to dictionary matching, and a musical sign is recognized in the trimmed rectangle (rcTrim). By repeating such processes on the four vertexes of the label rectangle (rcLabel), selected in a predetermined order, the musical signs (e.g. temporary symbols) which contact with or are close to each other can be separated into respective musical signs (e.g. temporary symbols) easier and more reliably than a conventional way. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
