PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer connector for electric power cable capable of exerting autonomy to maintain a posture even when used in a horizontal posture, which is smaller in weight than when used a porcelain insulator.SOLUTION: A polymer connector 1 for an electric power cable includes a polymer porcelain bushing 2 which has cable insertion holes 2a and 2b into which an end part 101 of a step-spliced electric power cable 100 is inserted. The polymer porcelain bushing 2 includes: an insulator 20 formed of a polymer material; an embedded pipe 21 made of a metal, which is embedded under the inner peripheral surface of the insulator 20 facing the end part 101 of the electric power cable; and a high-voltage shield 6 as a connection member for connecting the embedded pipe 21 to a conductor 120 of the end part 101 of the electric power cable at the end part 101 thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
