摘要 PURPOSE:To constitute a filter which has response characteristics of a natural musical instrument at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:The surface filter is constituted by connecting plural node computing elements 31-34, which generate output vectors O made to correspond to an output value by performing matrix arithmetic for an input vector made to correspond to an input value at a specific point on the resonator of the natural musical instrument, mutually in plane. Further, delay units 43-66 which correspond to a propagation delay time on the natural musical instrument are provided between the respective node computing elements. Driving data from a sound generation channel are inputted to the node computing elements 31-34 corresponding to a sound generation point and the outputs of the computing elements 31-34 corresponding to the sound generation point are outputted while made to correspond to the sound generation position of the natural musical instrument. The respective computing elements 31-34 reproduces the propagation direction and propagation quantity of an input signal at the specific point of the resonator of the natural musical instrument and the node computing elements are connected by the delay units 43-66 corresponding to the natural musical instrument, so the surface filter generates response characteristics approximated to the response characteristics of the natural musical instrument.
