COMMUNICATION CONTROLLER FOR IMAGE FORMING DEVICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To read specific data when a management equipment is connected to the controller by storing the specific data from an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:A management equipment 16 installed at a service point and an image forming device such as a copying machine (PPC) 1 installed to each user are connected via a public line network 17. A communication controller 18 to control the communication with the equipment 16 is installed to the user and each PPC 1 is connected to the controller 18. A telephone set 19 and a facsimile equipment 20 are connectable to the controller 18 and installed in a form of being inserted into an existing line of the user. Thus, when it is required to read periodically specific data revised every day in the image forming device, even when a power supply of the image forming device is interrupted, the equipment 16 accesses required data periodically and receives the data and stores the data till succeeding read.
