PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game control method, or the like capable of suitably maintaining game balance in a match game in which a plurality of players participate.SOLUTION: A game control method is a game control method of a computer (3) including a storage part (32), and executing a match game. The game control method includes: storing a setting value set to each player in the storage part for each of a plurality of players; starting a match between a game medium of a specific player and an opponent game medium according to a request from the specific player from among the plurality of players; notifying another player within the plurality of players of a request for participating in the match according to the request from the specific player; and receiving participation in the match by the other player within a range in that the total of the setting value set to each player participating in the match does not exceed the upper-limit value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
