A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are disclosed. The mobile terminal and the control method thereof of the present invention can predict a position of a face region and an eye region by detecting a face and an eye from an image obtained by a camera, and can detect a position of a gaze by applying a value, which represents pixel information of the face region and the eye region as a vector, to a neural network. According to the present invention, by applying different neural networks according to a pose of the face to estimate a gaze, the gaze position classifying performance can be improved.
