A method of increasing mitochondria biogenesis in a mammal comprising: (a) administering to the mammal in need of increased mitochondria biogenesis an effective amount of a composition comprising a dosage amount of 10-200 mg of hydroxytyrosol in combination with a dosage amount of 50-450 mg of caffeine; and (b) observing a mitochondria biogenesis effect.
