PURPOSE:To stably separate and convey stacked sheets one by one, by providing a send-out means under the stacked sheets, and a support and send-out means for forcibly sending off and bending the rear portions of the sheets by rotation, so as to reduce the frictional resistance between the sheets. CONSTITUTION:When a send-out roller 5 and a support and send-out roller 20 are driven, the rear edge of the lowermost 2a of sheets is moved off the support roller 20 and the pull-out force of the send-out roller 5 which is intermittently rotated at every prescribed pitch. At that time, the other sheet 2b on the lowermost sheet 2a is dragged by the frictional force between them so that the rear edge of the sheet 2b is also moved off the support roller 20. After the front edge of the sheet 2b is moved to the engaging portion of a separation means and the sheet is separated from the other sheets and conveyed by the separation means, the rotation of the send-out roller 5 is stopped. The rear edges of the other sheets 2c, 2d are then moved off the support means 20 by the send-out force of the support roller 20. When the rotation of the send-out roller 5 is resumed, the sheet 2b is easily sent to the engaging portion of the separation means so that the sheet is also stably separated from the other sheets and conveyed. |
