<p>A method of treating an inflammation in intestinal tissue in a mammal wherein growth hormone is administered to the mammal is disclosed. The administration of growth hormone has been shown to enhance the recovery from Crohn's disease and thus to reduce the mortality. The mammal to be treated is preferably a human being, and the growth hormone is preferably human growth hormone.</p> |
