[Also in Divisions B2 and F2] A device, for example, for cleaning the inner surface of a pipeline consists in a hollow, spherical ball of an elastomeric material and is made in two halves subsequently bonded together. One half of the device is formed in a two-part mould, one part 20a having a cavity 20b including a boss 20e to form a socket 2 in the wall of the device, the other part 20c being provided with a core 20d including a cavity 20f for forming a neck 3 integral with the wall of the device. The other half of the device is formed in a mould lacking the cavity 20f and boss 20e. Alternatively, both halves of the device are formed in the mould shown. There are moulds for making sleeves which fit over the necks 3, plugs for reception in the sockets 2, and valve elements, Figs. 11, 12 and 13 (not shown).</p> |
