PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device for a vehicle, providing simple construction for establishing smart ignition function. SOLUTION: The remote control device 11 for a vehicle comprises a portable machine 12 and a receiver 13. The portable machine 12 has a locking switch 21 and an unlocking switch 22. The locking switch 21 locks a door while the unlocking switch 22 unlocks the door. The portable machine 12 transmits transmission signals including predetermined ID codes for a preset time when the unlocking switch 22 is operated. After receiving the transmission signals, the receiver 13 makes the door unlocked on condition that both ID codes correspond to each other. During the time when both ID codes correspond to each other, an engine is ready for starting. |
