PURPOSE:To provide a method to manufacture a titanium alloy valve which is excellent in abrasion resistance processability and can be subjected to an oxidation treatment and nitriding with a sufficient geometrical accuracy without causing any thermal deformation. CONSTITUTION:Concerning the abrasion resistance processing of a titanium alloy valve, this is a manufacture of titanium alloy valve to oxidize or nitriding or oxidize and nitriding is accomplished by means of performing hot extrusion of the titanium alloy to obtain a valve shape at phase temperature range and thereafter performing cutting and grinding process, finishing to a final shape and heating to a temperature of 700 deg.C or higher but not lower than 900 deg.C. Also after hot extrusion processing, the particle diameter of an equi-axed crystal is adjusted to 6 25mum. |
