PURPOSE:To effectively make use of exhaust gas, and thereby enhance overall efficiency by using the surplus of anode exhaust gas at the time of no-load operation normal auxiliary fuel. CONSTITUTION:In order not to excessively raise the internal temperature of a reformer 2 during no-load operation, pressure is controlled to throttle an anode exhaust gas feed valve 12. This action thereby allows pressure at the upstream side of the valve 12 to be increased, allows the increase in pressure to be detected, and also allows the appropriate amount of anode exhaust gas to be inputted into an auxiliary burner 13 as auxiliary fuel with an anode exhaust gas exhaust valve 28 opened. Auxiliary fuel equivalent in thermal energy to inputted anode exhaust gas is fed to the burner 13 while normal auxiliary fuel is being reduced from an auxiliary fuel feed line 17. By this constitution, the surplus of anode exhaust gas can be effectively put to good use, auxiliary fuel can be saved by that so that overall efficiency can thereby be enhanced. Burning equipment including burning expenditure required for discharging anode gas to the outside of the system can thereby be eliminated. |
