PURPOSE:To provide a clamping circuit capable of performing clamping with low power consumption regardless of the polarity of input signals relating to a circuit for imparting a DC potential to AC output signals. CONSTITUTION:A monitoring circuit 2 is provided for an AC amplifier 1 and the polarity of the input of the AC amplifier 1 is judged. A both-polarity current generation circuit 3 is provided and a current in a positive direction or in a negative direction is made outputtable corresponding to a polarity judged result in the monitoring circuit 2. Then, by charging a coupling capacitor 4 on the input side of the AC amplifier 1 by the output of the both-polarity current generation circuit 3, the DC potential is imparted to the output of the AC amplifier 1. |
