A vehicle wheel comprises a hub 10, a tyrereceiving rim 12 and an annulus extending between rim and hub, the hub, rim and annulus being a unitary casting of a light-metal alloy, and the annulus being formed of circumferentially alternate portions 20, 30 which are spaced more widely in the axial direction at the hub than they are at the rim. Holes 22 for the wheel fixing studs may be provided in portions 20. Alternatively the internal base of the hub may be splined to engage a complementarily splined axle. Radial webs 37 lie between the portions which have brake-cooling apertures 25, 32. |
