摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for estimating a working electric power in a rolling shop with high precision. CONSTITUTION:Regarding a material to be rolled at a hot rolling shop 1 providing each process, each data such as a scheduled rolling time, a material width, a material thickness is edited by each material through a computer 2 for controlling the hot rolling shop and those data are transmitted from the computer 2 for controlling the hot rolling shop to a computer 4 for estimating a quantity of working power. A computer 3 for production control edits a measured value for a quantity of the present working power and an operating condition in each process and transmits the edited result to the computer 4 for estimating the quantity of working power. The computer 4 for estimating the quantity of working power demands an estimated quantity of working power by the use of coefficients coping with an estimated quantity of rolling by the material of a material to be rolled in an estimated time region, the number of materials to be rolled and the operating condition in each process through the neuron's expression. If necessary, it is learnt corrected. Further, a logarithm of a ratio of a square root of the width of the material to be rolled or the thickness of the material to be rolled to the thickness of a product is used according to the equipment of the rolling plant 1 to calculate the estimated quantity of rolling.</p>
